HOW TO HAND WASH CLOTHES AND MAINTAINANCE?

Tips to hand wash clothes and maintain them:

1. Always wash white and coloured clothes separately. For the first few washes, coloured clothes lose the dyed colour which can spoil the white or light coloured clothes. So, wash coloured clothes in one bucket and light or white coloured clothes in another.

2. Before going for hand washing, check the fabric label before. Few fabrics can only be dry cleaned so see if the cloth is hand wash or not.

3. Also check the care instructions in the label to know if the cloth can be washed in warm or cold water. This is an important tip to hand wash clothes as it helps maintain the fabric for a longer use.

4. Put the detergent in the bucket and fill with water (hot/warm/cold). One large bucket needs a 1 tbsp detergent in half bucket water.

5. See that the detergent has mixed well in the water. Now soak the clothes in the detergent for 20-30 minutes. This lightens the stains and makes it easy to remove them while washing.

6. After the duration, take out the clothes individually and scrub with hands by wringing. See that the fabric doesn't lose its elasticity after using a brush.

7. If the stain has not gone, you can use a brush and remove the stain from the cloth. Gently scrub the stain without pushing the cloth.

8. Rinse the clothes 2-3 times in plain water to remove the detergent. Let the water drain from the clothes. Don't wring the clothes and put it to air dry.

HOW TO CLEAN AND REMOVE SMELL FROM RUGS?

1. Daily clean the rug mats and vaccum clean twice every week. You can also keep the mats under the sun and then use a brush to clean out dirt from it.

2. You can even wash rug mats at home. Read the label for direction before washing them. Never wash rug mats in hot water.

3. Soak the rugs in cold detergent water for 15-20 minutes. Avoid using brush to remove stains. You can use baking soda to remove stains from rug mats and clean it.

4. Avoid dryer as wringing can spoil the material and also tear the mats. Let it air dry and then place it. Avoid rolling the rug mats. It can make molds.

5. For small stains, you can spray water and vinegar. Mix water and white vinegar in a spray bottle and spray it on the stain. Use a cloth piece to remove stains and maintain rugs.

6. To remove smell from rugs, use baking soda and vinegar. You can even store this solution and use it everyday to prevent the mats from smelling.

7. If the smell doesn't go from the rug mats, sprinkle baking soda and leave it overnight. This reduces odor from the mat.
